What makes your toilets different from other luxury loos for hire?

Our restrooms are made from wood and corrugated steel to match the traditional designs of Shepherd`s huts. They’re not fibreglass boxes or with curtains around the walls.

Our huts all use a `fresh water` flush system just like your own bathrooms at home. So rather than the blue chemical recirculating systems commonly used in portable loos, which have a chemical odour that just gets stronger during an event, our restrooms are more hygienic and have no rancid smells. 

Our restrooms not only have a supply of hot running water but deliver an amount of water to properly wash your hands, and are a welcome relief to anyone who has received a thimble full of water each time they hit the taps in other luxury loos.

Our restrooms are totally environmentally friendly, as well as the `fresh water` flush system detailed earlier we supply both recycled toilet paper and luxury hand wash / lotion dispensers, and also freshly laundered cotton hand towels.

What size hut will we need for our event? And what will they cost?

This entirely depends on both the amount of guests attending, the nature and duration of the event.

We offer two different-sized luxury event restrooms. If you have an event of up to 120 guests we can supply our Sussex Hut at £895.00 per event, or for larger events of up to 180 guests, you would need our Kent Hut which is £995.00 per event.

For even larger events, perhaps up to 300/400 guests, no problem, we can supply multiple restrooms.

We deal with every enquiry on a personal basis and work with you to give you the appropriate restroom that is needed at the best price for your specific needs.

Where do you deliver to? And how do we know if we can get one of your huts into our venue?

We are ideally located on the Sussex coast. We do offer delivery anywhere in the UK as we appreciate there are no other unique restrooms like ours, we factor in travel costs into each booking that is a little further away which will be detailed at the time with you when you enquire.

We do like to promote local bookings as much as possible as we are all about being as environmentally friendly as we can.

As part of the service, we will visit your chosen venue to ensure we have the necessary access required and that the right location can be agreed, once your booking has been confirmed.

The hut should be placed in advance of the event so as to allow our towing vehicle to get out of your way. Our Shepherd`s Huts require an area of about 6 m x 3 m on reasonable level, firm ground with a water and electricity supply within a reasonable distance.

How do I make a booking?

For bookings outside of the season a 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking. Full payment is required eight weeks before your event when we will contact you to check the final details of your event and make any necessary changes if required.

For in-season bookings, we take full payment at the time of your booking.

How many days can I book your Restrooms for?

You can book our Shepherd`s Huts for as long as you want! We supply our luxury restrooms for one day, two day, and/or much longer events.

Our restrooms can usually hold all the waste typically for a single day`s use at a time, however if you’re planning on a larger event or need the restrooms for an additional days use, then you will need to take advantage of our Pump-out Service combined perhaps with a Hut Service or Toilet Attendance service as detailed in our options page.

For longer events (over two days and of guests up to 500+) it is a requirement of ours to include the toilet attendant into your event so you have the best experience.

The toilet attendant takes care of your huts ensuring your restrooms are operated perfectly, emptied when required, and are clean and stocked up throughout your event so you have nothing to worry about.

How and when are the toilets delivered and collected?

Upon confirming your booking we will work with you to arrange the best time to deliver and collect your restrooms, doing our best to make sure your needs are met.

Typically for weekend events we deliver and set up on Thursday or Friday (mainly so you don’t have to worry about whether the huts have turned up on the day itself).

The restrooms are locked up and the keys are left with you so when the event starts you just open them up and they’re ready to use straight away.

After the event, the restrooms are collected on Sunday or Monday as agreed with you and any site constraints you may have.

For weekday events we will coordinate timings with you to ensure that your facilities are ready on time.

Do your luxury restrooms require water and an electricity supply?

Our luxury restrooms require a source of fresh water supply, either through an outside / garden tap or an indoor supply, ideally within 50 m or up to 150 m if the water pressure is good.

Our restrooms require an electricity supply of 13 amps from a standard plug connected to the mains, or 16 amp supply from a high power outdoor socket typically run from the generator.

This powers the vintage-style lighting, and our heating system provides hot water for the taps.

What if there is a problem during the event?

Don’t panic, included in our rental charge is a 24-hour emergency support.

We will provide you with an emergency contact number and subsequently, we will support you to rectify any problems should they occur.

Typically problems are minor and rare and can usually be sorted out over the phone, however, if in the very rare situation a larger problem does occur, we can come over and sort this out.

Can I rent your restrooms in Autumn and Winter?

Yes, you absolutely can, most of our bookings are in the Spring and Summer periods, however we do offer our restrooms at a reduced rate during the low season if required, in Autumn and winter.

We ask that our huts are left on during the event in the colder months so as to avoid any of the pipes freezing over.

Are there things I should't do when renting your restooms?

Good question, yes, there are.

It is essential that the recycled toilet paper is the only item that is flushed down the toilet, all other items like sanitary towels, wet wipes, chewing gum etc… are placed in the bins provided, as these items can cause blockages and stop the toilets from working, resulting in a callout and subsequent charge to unblock the system.

We also have a policy that flamed candles are not to be used in our huts for obvious reasons.

If you want to add your own things like fresh flowers or other items to the huts then you’re more than welcome to do so, we just ask that you are responsible for ensuring the removal of all the items before collection.

Can I place your luxury restrooms at my residential home?

Yes, you absolutely can, as mentioned before, we just need enough space to locate the restrooms and that the ground is suitable for the huts to stand on.

Do you offer long term hire for your luxury restrooms?

Yes of course, we do have our huts located for long periods of time at some amazing locations, if you’re interested in a potential long-term hire then please get in touch.
